Skull Creek Bison is a family-run operation led by Wayne and Conner Buchholz, built on family land that dates back to the 1930s. What began in 1996 with a small herd has grown into a progressive bison ranch rooted in resilience, stewardship, and innovation. Early challenges shaped a shift from cattle to bison and fueled investments in infrastructure, grazing systems, and herd management that improved both land health and efficiency.
